Movira Payments, LLC ("Movira," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Movira accounts-payable platform ("Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please stop using the Service.
Account Information: Name, business email address, company name, job title, and password (stored as a hashed value — we never store plaintext passwords).
Financial & Transaction Data: Invoice details, vendor information, payment amounts, bank account identifiers (tokenized — full account numbers are never stored by Movira), and payment status records.
QuickBooks Data: When you connect QuickBooks Online, we access vendor records, bill records, and payment records through Intuit's API solely to provide the sync features you request. We store OAuth access tokens (encrypted) to maintain the connection.
Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, and actions taken within the Service (audit logs) for security and compliance purposes.
Communications: Emails or support messages you send us.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Payment Processors: We share necessary financial data with Dwolla (ACH) and NMI (card processing) to execute payments. These processors are contractually bound to protect your data.
Intuit / QuickBooks: Data exchanged with QBO is governed by Intuit's Privacy Policy in addition to ours.
Service Providers: We may share data with trusted vendors (e.g., email delivery, cloud hosting) who act as data processors under confidentiality agreements.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Movira or its users.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years afterward to comply with financial recordkeeping laws. Audit logs are retained for 3 years. You may request deletion of non-legally-required data by contacting us.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, hashed password storage, encrypted OAuth tokens, role-based access controls, and audit logging of all financial actions. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@movirapayments.com. We will respond within 30 days.
The Service uses session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in.
The Service is intended for business use only and is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Intuit, Dwolla). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
